The Great Ocean Road Project, Apollo BayCompleted March 2019
When done right, domestic façade cladding can instantly update your property – adding a touch of modern elegance and protecting your home from natural wear and tear. The expert team at Total Comfort Plumbing Services was called in to help create a one-of-a-kind home in the stunning Great Ocean Road and Apollo Bay area.
This was a challenging project, where our façade cladding team had to work within tight timeframes while collaborating with the Apollo Bay Building Group to meet the client’s high expectations.
We believe in doing a job well the first time, delivering façade cladding that not only looks visually stunning, but offers maximum peace of mind for the homeowner. Our fully qualified and licensed roofing team installed top hats, battens and substrate – ensuring the Apollo Bay home is supported by a solid, reliable structure and reducing the risk of water damage and costly repairs in future.
For the façade cladding, we used 0.8mm Corten steel interlocking panels, giving the home a cutting-edge, designer appeal. The vertical panels extend the clean, modern lines of the home and are specially designed to be lightweight and low-maintenance, with no painting required.
Corten steel is a popular choice for exterior cladding, as it forms its own protective patina when exposed to weather, resulting in a gorgeously coloured, corrosion-resistant outer layer. With this home located in Apollo Bay, the façade cladding will start out a red-brown colour and deepen over time in the coastal conditions.
